Meaghan decided to become a teacher after graduating from State Universtity of New York at Oneonta with a degree in Criminal Justice and Philosophy with a minor in Gender Studies. Initially wanting to be a lawyer, Meaghan decided to apply to Teaching Fellows in order to serve in NYC public schools. She earned her Masters in Secondary Special Education in Urban Settings from Long Island University of Brooklyn in May 2017. She continues to work in NYC public schools with the mission of helping bridge the gap of underrepresented women in STEM careers.
