Ali attended Franklin and Marshall College where she received a B.A. in Environmental Science and Anthropology. After graduating college, Ali served a year with City Year Philadelphia where she fell in love with teaching. After her year with City Year, she accepted a position with Olney Charter High School in Philadelphia as an Environmental Science teacher. During her two years at Olney, Ali earned her M. Ed. in Teaching, Learning and Curriculum from Drexel University. Ali moved to Boston and has been teaching at Brooke Charter Schools since! She worked as a 7th grade Math & Science teacher for two years and then had the opportunity to be the founding High School Biology teacher last year and remains in the position this year. She is excited to start her sixth year teaching while participating in the Sci-Ed Fellowship.
